I am very nervous about shipping my brake shoes out due to too many packages being lost recently.
Or.... does someone have some rear brake shoes they want to part with (4" x 15"). Truck is a 1954 4100.
Thanks

If I'm reading my parts book right those shoes were used from 1951 thru 64... Place an ad in the "parts wanted" section and see what's out there! They did an excellant job, and returned them quickly. I would not be afeared to do it again.

Ended up I really got lucky - Associated Truck Parts in Gilbertsville PA does them in house. And they are literally within 5 minutes of my home! Thought I would share that in case anyone else in my area is looking.
Take care,

I done that in the 80's and with the right rivets and lining you could get a factory job on those ! Shoes came back looking brand new, not only did they reline the shoes but painted them as well. | | | | Joined: Dec 2018 Posts: 2,451 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2018 Posts: 2,451 | stouchton Did you know they made like an asbestos paper shim to put in under the lining ?? from what I could understand it's really important to not have space under there or they'll chatter. Never had that trouble I still have I think a bendix pedal machine that really puts the hammer on em . | | |
