I am working on a 52 Chevrolet 2 ton, and we need new tie-rods/tie-rod ends. Can anyone tell me what the front axel weight for a 2 ton might be? Or even better, what the part #(s) might have been. This is the last thing I need before going "mobile" and I'm itchin...
Thanks,
Sam

Try your local NAPA Store. You might just be surprised!

Sam the Meat Man,

Boy, what a handle!! I did some investigating, and found a few things. If nothing else, I will get a 'A' for effort.

I think your truck has a (capacity) 4500# front axle. The tie rod ends for this rig appear to resemble the more modern style with a 1X16 TPI thread configuration..RH and LH.

I have enclosed a link to some dope! Hope some of this helps.

Thanks to all for your invaluable help. We are in the process of locating them locally, but I may be back to some of you Bolters who have in stock.
