The steering column hole in the floor is oblong and the seal is round. How are Bolter's handling this?

The round one is for a 4 speed or floor shift ,the oblong is for the 3 speed with the smaller hole for the shift linkage

I have a 4 speed. My concern is the excess opening around the round seal wear it meets the firewall.

I wonder also about the round one that does not cover and seal the top of the oblong hole in the floor board

I think this is what you need. It’s a seal for a 3 Speed, Floor Shift.

Your picture of the round seal in place looks a bit odd???

The "4 speed" round style seal and plate in the ad pic posted by KEVINSKI shows a "bent" plate which should fit where the toe-board bend angles upwards. Your pic shows a flat plate.

Is the seal possibly in the wrong spot to cover the whole???

Am sure others will chime in with more info.

The hard plastic bezel with the bend goes over the rubber seal.

If your truck has been converted to a stick shift, you'll need to put a rubber or plastic plug over the column shift hole. Even a piece of sheet rubber can be cut in a triangle or whatever to cover the hole under the bezel.

I will make the seal. Sometimes I can not see the forest for the trees. Hence my post. I had some doubts that the seal I had was correct. It may also be that the seal jimgmc shows is the correct one. So I will be making my own seal.
