Hello,
I have 1940 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton truck. I purchased this from my brother in law last summer. It needs a few things done to finish it up. I am hoping to find some resources here to help with this. Here is a picture. Hope to get to know you all better through this journey. God Bless.

Welcome to the site.

NwRaindevil is an interesting screen name considering all the rain you all have had last week!

We should be able to help you out with what you are looking for. Cruise around the site and forums a bit. Most technical stuff will be in The Shops forums. Now IT kind of *technical stuff, is down in the Back Office (along with News and Greasy Spoon - down time chit chat).

The Parking Lot has a bunch of specialty forums that may not interest you other than enjoyable reading. (Big Bolts, Panells & Burbs, 60-66, etc.)

The Swap Meet may come in handy. And the Whole Wild West is a bit open range right now.

I'm sure the gang will chime in soon.

Tell us a little more about you and the truck.

Welcome.
wave

I love the color on that truck. Looks like you have a good helper peeking out the window too.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I will get to know the site a little better before I post more. I am very fortunate that I got this truck in the shape its in. My brother in law put a lot of work into it. I just hope I can do him and it justice by finishing it properly. I am not very knowledgeable in truck building/restoration. Buying the truck took up a large portion of our savings that was supposed to go to repairs on the house. I have it in my garage so it's out of the weather. It mighty be a while before I can get it done since we need to get focused on the saving back up and doing the repairs needed on the house. I just felt like I couldn't pass up getting this truck. My awesome wife agreed so we pulled the trigger. Lol. You alls welcoming helps settling the nerves. Thanks again.

Welcome and a little insight into the sight which I find interesting. On the upper right-hand corner of the page in your case it lists the place you are from, not all will tell that. But if you click on it it will show pictures of the place. BTW if you click on the pictures it shows all that is available.
