ronsway 'Bolter R Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 83 Napa, CA	I have a 41 1/2 ton PU with a '47 GMC 228 motor and a 4 speed transmission . Is the transmission & mount the same for the two?. I need to try and find a new transmission mount. Do I look for a '41 Chev mount or a '47 GMC?

Pre '68 Dave 'Bolter P Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 Snohomish,WA,USA	If original a 1941-47 four speed would be a non synchro transmission. Sm420 started in 1948. I think the mount he is looking for bolts to the rear of the transmission and the crossmember. I would think GMC and Chevrolet would use the same mount. Or perhaps you need to appear vague! Ed '37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires. '47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle. '54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed. '55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
