I was browsing the site using the Active Threads link at the top of the page and saw my username listed in a thread that I had not posted in.
[on edit]When I click on my username in Active Threads listing it goes to Rock49's profile page.
Here's a screenshot showing both the thread listing and the actual post in the thread in question.
Saw something similar a while back.
Using Firefox 108.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 10.

Kevin, that truly is not a good thing.

That's another strange behavior going on here with UBB.

First was the carry-over of tags on photos with the Attachment Manager.

Then the lack of yellow folders. Mine has not resolved yet.

Now this.

I was wondering if there is a diagnostics for the UBB software?

I can see it too. Seems to be unique when using "active threads".

FWIW, I tried to reproduce what Kevin showed experiencing above by using the Active Threads link.

Screenshot attached shows a couple of this morning active threads that I actually did reply to, showing my user ID like Kevin's was displayed, as well as the reply I posted. Other posts that I looked at, but did not reply to, do not show with my ID???

When I clicked on my user ID in those replied to active threads, it showed my user ID correctly and not the original poster info.

I am using the same Windows 10 and Firefox 108.0.2 as Kevin.

Active Threads is where I start when coming in here.

Dan, If you were the last post in a particular thread, then it would correctly show your username in the Active Thread listing. So it seems yours is acting correctly, unless I'm misunderstanding your post.

You understood correctly. Mine seems to be functioning correctly using the Active Thread listing for just that particular function. Sorry if I may have caused any misunderstanding.

Only reason I mentioned was because it seems you and I are using the same software OS and web browser, which makes the way these things keep popping up extra odd and confusing.

I normally don't use the Active Thread listing, but look on the main forums page after signing in for "yellow" marked forums that to me has always indicated unread by me posts.

I also seem to suffer from the Yellow marker disappearing scenario too.

If I read a new post in a forum, but don't read the other new ones that are also marked with yellow, then switch to another forum for some reason, when I go back to the partially read forum that yellow marker and yellow markers for the other new posts that I did not read are no longer marked as unread???

It's not unique to Active Threads. I've noticed similar shindigs for years and I never use the Active Thread link. I use the forum list page to navigate. It shows the latest post and poster on the right side of the page. For years I've noticed that often it'll show a thread/post/author as the latest post in that forum and when I click on that forum it shows a different post/thread/author at the top. I figured it was a bug with the software but not worth pursuing.
