I named the dog "Moose Head". I haven't decided on a name for the truck yet, but I will. Moose Head is going to be the co pilot of course.

I'd like to put a huge camper on the back. There is a small lake 20 miles from here a nice place to camp out. I'm going to name the truck "Old Bessie" after my grandma.

Thanks for all the replys !!

If you could find an old Chinook chassie mount moterhome coach that would make a nice rig.they are just like over growen campers that don't come off.

I noticed the rear cross member is dented down on the top. My 56 4400 is the same way. is this normal or just a coincidence?

I don't think that dent on the cross member is factory made. I think the truck got stuck in a muddly farm field, and somebody hooked a chain on it to pull it out.

Good find ND! That is one clean looking truck.

You will have the coolest RV at any event you go to - your rig will be way cooler than any cookie cutter Winnebago!

Nice truck ND. Mine is a '57 6400. Your cab looks a lot better than mine. Will make a nice camper.

Hello ND1956Chevy6400,
Welcome to you! That's a nice truck, it looks a lot like my '56 6500, even the color. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here. I have many of the old books on these trucks and if I can help just feel free to ask. Here is a pic of my truck "Spot". It has a 261 6cyl and two speed vacuum shift rear axle. Hope you enjoy that truck for many years to come.
David
