Glad to find you guy's. Hope to find a lot of good info here. Just picked up a 56 6100 dumptruck that is in incredibly good shape. I have some great pic's that I would like to post,if some one could help me out. Some of my plans for this truck are to repower it with a stroker big block 496, Add a luvered stainless viser and a set of big truck stacks. The first thing I did was to have the wheels sand-blasted and powder-coated then rapped in new 10.00/22.5 rubber. I found a new late modle front axle with 15" disc brakes, and the same 6 on 8 3/4" bolt pattern. I would like to move the master cylinder to the firewall and use a hydra booster for inproved braking. This truck has a vickers ram type power steering that I would like to replace with a power box. Any info on steering boxes that mite fit would be put to good use here. It's more than just a restoration prodject I plan on pulling a 20,000 #GVW trailer with a 15,000 # EX60 excuvator on it.

welcome to the garage hauler - we'll be glad to see some pics of that rig, now and when ya got'er done - we like real workin trucks

you'll find info about how to deal with pics in the glove box manual , you just have to have them hosted somewhere on the net, and you could also send some to the editor for the gallery
