Season's Greetings to all the Bolters in Snowy BC. Here in the lower mainland we have said good bye to the snowy days, now into the slushy days and soon to be into regular rainy days. Stay warm and hope you are enjoying some good times.

Paul,

Looking on your map (when your click on the date link for your post), I didn't realize how close you are to Washington state. So, you are done with snow? I thought most places in Canada stayed snowy for a long time. Does that mean it's not that cold any more?

Merry Christmas Paul!

smile

Peggy, it's not below freezing now. It will be raining all next week I believe. This past weeks weather of below freezing temperatures and snow storms is not unheard of but are pretty rare. Some years we don't get any snow. The eastern Fraser Valley is still pretty snowy and now they are subject to avalanches because of the changing snow fall, from fluffy to wet snow. Seems like everyone in North America had some challenges with the weather. Don't travel if it's dangerous.

Happy Holidays! May your home be powered by electricity, your water heater not fail and your road be plowed!

Our power just came back after a 6 1/2 hour outage. Water heater failed Xmas eve; fortunately, the hardware store had the parts. Just the two of us for Xmas dinner; rest couldn't make it through the snow or were sick. Turkey dinner planned for tomorrow! But the forecast is for more high winds....

Yes, I guess it seemed like a whiny greeting!
