I am a happy new 1955 GMC truck owner. I have history with building and riding Harleys but now it is time to do something else. Friend said that it could be my turn to take the baton and so we made a deal for the truck.
Since the vehicle was already LS tech swapped but not in title it was my first thing to do. In our country there is rather strict but fair rules. Luckily everything went just ok and it is registered for the street.
There is still plenty of checking and small issues to fix. Nothing serious but nice off season tinkering. For example re-routing some electric wires and make the installation neat etc.
I'll look forward to read the all cool stuff from the forum and write as well.

Followed your thread in the HiPo Forum. Glad to hear you got the truck properly licensed. I liked your comment: "rather strict but fair rules."
As you are roaming around our "virtual garage," be sure to plant your flag in the International Zone. That's always a fun place to see who's here from the big wild world.

Thanks Rusty. So far I will keep it Finnish patina style and some kind of resto mod. Raw outlook but technically working and good driveability. When the tech is finished I will start thinking painting. My plan is to drive in the summer times and do small and mid sized projects in the off season. I know my self that if I disassembly it completely I am in big troubles. So one mod at the time. This journey is just about to begin. I am completely noob here but learning. However mechanically quite skilled and have access to workshop.
Wow, the front grille. Its awesome to view. Nice Truck and welcome to the bolt' .

Thanks Dusty53! Yeah front grille is massive and forward leaning lamp corners makes it personal. My daughter named it immediately Martti which is basically Martin in Finnish. Even it is not the same car than that tow mater Martin in Disney film.
