It's a 3/16" diameter one-time use fitting that crimps itself onto the oil line the first time it's tightened. The same nut is used on the oil line that goes through the water jacket where it exits the block on the driver's side, along with a female fitting that threads into the block. It's included in the "kit" that some of the resto-ripoff places sell to replace the through-block oil line, but it's a lot less expensive to buy the copper tubing and the fittings in bulk and fabricate the line from scratch. I'm coaching an engine builder over in Virginia through his first spray-oiler rebuild on an early 1950's 235, and somebody had lost or damaged a few parts before he got involved in the job. He's got the short block assembled with all the right clearances and the spray tubes aimed- - - - -now it's time to button things up and get it running.
