I am starting to reassemble my 47 chevy truck. I remembered seeing a diagram of the firewall and where everything was located. I can't seem to locate that diagram again. Can someone help by telling me where I might find where all where all the hoses and wires go?

Thanks, that will help. My truck is a little different. I'm not going to have vacuum wipers, or the original 6 volt system, so no need for a regulator. I'll need speedometer cable, choke cable, and wiring harness with fuse block mounted where the original was. I just want it to look and function well.

A "slamming" website did a hatchet job on this cab removal (attached pictures) but there is enough remaining to give you a clue.

Also Step 5
http://devestechnet.com/Home/ADWiringSystem

The regulator wiring can be removed but the regulator itself can remain to cover the holes in the firewall. Also there is a battery connection that may be useful. Some alternators have a "sense" connection that can be used to compensate for voltage drop.
