For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 39 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 39 | Does anyone know how many years the 20" 6 lug pattern wheel was used on Chevy 1-2 ton trucks? I know they were used in the 40s; did they continue use up through the 50s? Was there more than one 20" 6-lug pattern? Thank you. Wonder if the GMC wheels would be the same as what you are looking for? if so that would give you more options. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 | Dale, You won't find any Chevrolet 1 1/2, or 2 ton trucks, with 6 lugs, unless they are Army trucks. Standard civilian Chevy trucks from this era, were 5 lug front, 10 lug rear. Civilian 1 1/2, & 2 ton GMC trucks from this era were the same. 400 series, & up GMC's, were spec.'d with 6 stud, or 10 stud wheels. Dayton spoke wheels were also available, on the Heavy GMC trucks. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 355 Member | | Member Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 355 | Dale, the truck in your picture has Mil spec axils, you wont find that on any civilian type truck. You can however find wheels pretty close to that on Chevy and GMC on proliner chassis in 2001 yr. I know this because we have two at the lumber yard. They are 19.5 wheels. I also have some f650's with a similar wheel on 22.5's in the yard. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 39 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 39 | Thanks for this information! | | |
