Had earlier post about my oil filter cannister but have been unable to locate the spring that attaches to the bolt that holds the lid on and applies pressure on the oil filter. Any help would be appreciated on finding the correct spring or one close to the size I need. The spring is conical in shape at 1 1/2" in length with the wire size about 1/16", top of the spring at 5/8" inside diameter and the base at 1 " inside diameter.
Just a suggestion, but may be put an ad for what you are looking for here: Truck Parts Wanted ?
Could be someone has got a spare laying around that can help you out. Am sure others with knowledge of what the part number is (if one exists) or a direct source (if available) will chime in as they can.
Good luck!
NOTE: This may need to be moved to The Engine Shop for better on-topic conversation.

Do you have any old junkyards in MO? This is where I would go. We have several here in NC but I'm not risking a snake bite for parts I don't need. You can also try searching ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/392972309769

You can also reach out to fellow 'Bolter "KCMongo" by PM, or go to his website here: Mongos Garage
He is a long time 'Bolter and has an awesome shop and lots of resources/parts. Plus his shop is any easy drive for you.

Any compression spring close to the correct diameter and length can be converted to a conical shape with a pair of channellock pliers in a matter of minutes. All it needs to do is hold the element down toward the bottom of the canister. The O rings at the top and the bottom of the canister do the sealing so the oil gets forced through the filter media.
