My tube radio refurbished and installed. The hole for the antenna was full because I want to go with a hidden antenna. Does someone have a recommendation for this. My first try of a hidden antenna seems to be a fail. I thought this would be easy. Thank you.

For decades people have put the the antenna under the vehicle...running horizontally and parallel to the ground. It will lose some long-distance power but it will work fine generally speaking and nobody will see it. In an automobile, your antenna works with one connection to ground (the frame) and one receptor pole. Back when AM radio was king, the antenna was much more critical, but with FM, an antenna can be pretty simple and still do a fine job. If a vertical antenna is important to you, you can also tuck one between the cab and the front of the bed so it doesn't show. The motorized hidden antennas were okay when they were made in the USA. Now they're pretty much junk. Good luck.

OMG!! My truck would hate me if I got rid of my regular antenna. Where would Miss Hooters antenna girl reside?

From H00ters in Myrtle Beach, SC quite a few years ago while visiting a friend out there. Regarding hidden antennas, I like the idea of one between the bed and the cab. Maybe one horizontal under the bed might work, especially for us who rarely use our truck radios.
