What is used to hold the seat back bracket to the bench seat bracket? Any pictures of the brackets might help me.

Can any of you ‘bolters help this guy out?

You need to have the correct bench seat. There will be slots in the seat bottom frame to receive the two seat back brackets. Mine were hidden when the upholstery shop covered up those slots, so I had to cut slits in the vinyl material to expose them.

In the attached picture you can see the driver's side seat back bracket which is painted black. The slot in the seat bottom is that small bit of unpainted metal protruding through the seat covering.

I've got the original seat and the slot is gone, broke off. Now I see why they were wired together. You've been a big help Kent, now I can see what should of been a simple assemble. Thanks so much.

Here is another picture with the seat removed from the truck and opened up like a book. Again, the black metal is the seat back bracket and the bare metal is the slot attached to the seat base frame. Unfortunately, I cannot show you more without removing the upholstery.

Looks like I'll need to Fab a slot in the bench seat bracket or attach another way. Thanks again for the pictures Kent.
