First, I appreciate your help. I've gone on line to Jim Carter and called them. I also called Filling Station and Chevy of the 40s. As I understand there are the triangle wooden blocks that Wayne identified that buffer/connect the firewall to the cab. Do these blocks sit between the pieces of the cab/firewall, or between the bottom of the cab/firewall metal and the top of the frame?
I also looked at the cab mounting kit (CBK 154). From the "instructions" Jim Carter emailed to me, it identifies 8 bolts/ 4 sets; however it is not clear where the mounting points for each set are located. It also says you need two wood blocks (CB 247), but doesn't say where they go either.
your bed will also have a set of wood blocks when you get that far. of course you could make them all, but if yours are like mine, (near non-existent) I don't have a good pattern to work off of...so I'll pay dearly for something actually rather simple.

I will get under my truck Saturday morning and take some pictures of the cab mounts and bed mounts. My had been hacked up so the fuel tank area is not stock, but the mounting holes are still in the right place.
Here are some pictures of my '37 cab mounts. The first picture shows the mid cab mount and wood block under the door sill. You can also see the flange coming off the frame where the cab just sets on with rubber pads under it. The second photo is the back of the cab and front of the bed mount. The cab should have a wood block, but I just made some wood pucks to put in place The third picture is a close up of the front wood pieces. Forth picture is mid bed mount. Fifth picture is rear bed mount. Sixth is the inside rear cab mount with spring. You can also see the seat belt mounted and an extra mounting hole I made not being used. All my electrical is also under the seat.
