Anyone know where I can get the proper font Chevrolet decal for my '54 3100 dash?
Or, has anyone managed to replicate it? Suppliers do not have dash logos for '54s.
Thanks.

I didn't know there was a dash decal for the 1954 3100. What does it say and where does it go?

I think Roadking55 is wanting the "letters" to go into the "Chevrolet" stamped in the center of the dash. I could not find them online either. Looking at the owners manual they appear to be white in color. Masking and painting the letters would be an option?

I see them in the brochure, but the factory didn't bother putting them on my truck. There is an embossed bow tie logo on the radio delete plate.

CHEVROLET in block letters. It goes in the stamped letters above the radio grill. I want them in black

Yes, painting them is an option but I found an old post on here from 2012 where someone had a pdf of the letters and a print shop made vinyl letters to fit. I wasn't sure if anyone might have recently done the same thing.

Don't know if they're the same font style as the speaker grille trim on earlier trucks, but I have a picture of that from my truck. A print shop could use it for vinyl letters to use. Or one could print on to clear decal paper and use that. Vinyl would be easier that decals.

If this matches up, let me know and I could supply a PDF. If you can measure the height of the letters I can scale it to match.

Interesting mystery. There's no "Chevrolet" stamped or painted in the dash of my '54. I have the three window cab. Maybe it's another difference between the 5 window and 3 window cabs. Edit: I see you have a three window cab. Must be a difference between Canadian and US built cabs.

Years back, someone had used a CAD system to do the tailgate letters. The font looked correct to me for the dash letters. My intention was to have them printed to size and hope they worked good as masking.

That is a mystery! I have a US built ( Kansas City ) 1954 3604 , three window, and the letters Chevrolet are stamped in the center of the dash. Can you look on the backside with a mirror / flashlight and see if the stamping is actually there and someone at some point filled it in with filler to smooth the dash ? Just a thought.....

Ron

Ron: No stamping. We had the cab dipped in a tank so it came out bare metal - even the bondo was boiled off.

Back to Jim's question. Try a sign shop. It shouldn't take long for an experienced painter to do it. You might get a deal since people like to see these old trucks.

I realize this post is almost a year late and several hundred dollars short (due to inflation) and my picture is not very good due to the rust and all, but my '55.1 3 window has the embossed "CHEVROLET" above the speaker grill and ashtray.

My 1954 three window Canadian 1300 does not have the Chevrolet stamped in the dash. I have had three 1300's, one was a five window, and none have had dash lettering my USA made 3100 truck I has.
