Interested in seeing anyone's set-up of a vintage rifle rack mounted in an AD cab. Thanks for sharing in advance!

No pics, however when I purchased my 52 in 1999 the previous owner had installed one just using small sheet metal screws. One of the first things removed, along with shag carpet, crappy seat covers, oversized radio, whip cb antenna, white buggy wheels and jumbo murders. By the way, screw holes remain, can post pic of those if like.

I thought of installing one on my 54 to hold an umbrella, don't laugh. Thinking that it would have crews in place like my 1971 chevy truck, no dice ohwell

Not much in the way of options for the AD cab. Sheet metal screws and an old school steel 2 gun rack.

fonz8261 We live in deer hunting mecca, neighbors from indiana would come across the river with their rifles in the rack exposed...the game warden would get em !!! Now we are not proud of the way Illinois does, but what can you do ?? Kinda dumb to have to case your rifle in the old wood hauler truck !!

The last one I had in a truck was plastic, and was designed to snap into the window opening by wedging the ends under the rubber gasket as it was installed. It was adjustable for different heights of windows, so it was pretty much of a universal fit item. It held a rifle and a shotgun securely for several years, and stayed with the truck when I sold it. We ran a small herd of beef cattle at the time, and coyotes were a constant problem, especially when newborn calves were around. Having that rifle handy was a really good thing.

Still have one in my 54 3100. Been there 40 years. Had a feral dog problem with my cattle herd back then. Now it holds a period fishing rod.

My '48 started its life in eastern Montana and I'll bet the gun rack was installed within its first tank of gas. The rubber has rotted but it might otherwise work. I hang a baseball cap from it.

Do real Saddleman seat covers still come with with the slot for a rifle along the front of the seat?

By the way, my 1948 Accessory List shows an Umbrella Carrier for $2.25.

My '48 is a 5-window which affects the width of the rear window.

I've had a couple of the 'saddleman bottom seat covers' that had the rifle pocket on the lower front. Step out, reach in, grab and slide the rifle out of the pocket. Haven't seen a new one available for years, but haven't looked.
Oh..... the glorious past.

That seems expensive, especially compared to a sealed beam headlight costing $1.50 ohwell
