I'm pretty sure I joined this forum when I was 16 and now I'm 32. I had a 1964 C10 short bed with a 350, sm420, 12bolt posi and dual glasspacks, a sweet little rig, and was my dads before mine. Unfortunately I sold that truck years ago and it is long gone.

However! I just bought a 1968 C30 dually 133WB 14,000lb GVW truck!

So I'm back on here for inspiration and community! Looking forward to chatting with you fine folks again!

Edited July 2023. T did have his 1964 Chevy posted in General Truck Talk back in 2006. He said, "hi im sixteen and i just joined this site. i own a 64 chevy that im fixing up. i thought this would be a good site to get info."

Going along with this post, in October 2022 he posted most of his info in the Big Bolts forum, which ended up being the best spot. He's got good info and pictures! ~ Peggy M

Thank you all for the warm welcome back!

@peggy M
I miss that 64 terribly and if there was anyway to track it down I would do so in a heartbeat.

@phak1
I’m amazed I remembered my login information!
Looking forward to meeting the big bolters!

I already bought the 1968 c30 but it’s still in the PO’s yard. Today after work I’m going to wake it from its 3 year slumber and hopefully drive it home with a few new parts thrown at it. It’s a 25 mile drive almost entirely uphill! Wish me luck!

Phil, yes! Remembering the password AND screen name was impressive, too. thumbs_up

Some things you may need to *recall* about the site (or it has changed since last visits), you can get that technology help here, in the IT Shortbus. laalaa

Welcome back!

With regards to the gallery, please note that it also is now part of the forums. If your other truck was in the old gallery, you can add it into the new one as well. And, of course, we'll look for your new truck in there!

Rusty Rod! I remember your signature from when I was on here originally! "real trucks rattle" that stuck with me because my 64 rattled so much.
Its nice to be back!

Today I drove the 40 mins to where the 68 is, I thought it had the original 327 but today I found out it has a 350 with 4 bolt main.
also noted some interesting things about the truck.
It has 10 lug wheels (10 in the back and 5 in the front, the heavy duty 5lug), it has air over hydraulic brakes, and it has the larger 157" WB frame but is only 133"WB and does not appear to have been cut or modified.
does this sound familiar to anyone?
when I get the truck to my house I will post pics of everything.

Wonder is J Lucas can help *adjust* those upside down images. He's good at that!! wave
