What a great weekend! We met up with some old friends and made some new ones. So we care about everyone and want to know if you made it home safely. So please check in here when you get home. And if you are taking an extended route home, let us know your progress.

It’s early Sunday morning, Vicki and I are just getting up and will head home after we visit an elderly friend.

2ton Got home shortly after 10 pm,859 mile round trip flew low at about 80 mph. St Louis was pretty dense, bugs were bad in the river bottom. Had a great time with the Bolters. No close calls so would count it a great trip, probably the closer for summer of '22. Do have a DAR parade on Oct. 1 st. more later

fix

Vicki and I made it home about 12:30 today after visiting our friend in assisted care. He is doing good BTW.
Winchester is on my mind, but we have too much to do this week?

I just walked in the front door. 16 hours and 48 minutes straight through. I'll figure the mileage later, heading to the shower and bed. Thanks for a great weekend.

I just got home at 10:30pm. Tom dropped me off and is on his way home, another 100 miles.o
Another successful Bolter "Event"! Meeting and making new friends and seeing "old" friends will always draw me back. Thank you Mongo for your hospitality, tour and experiential tales enjoyed by all. The COE design on the Ts is awesome, in my COE owner's opinion.
Thank you Vicki for bringing Don and all those cookies. And Don for your work in making this event happen. And Craig, for the 14 hour trip without Alvin. We appreciate your updates on Alvin's recovery. Alvin, we missed you! Well done, Kevin, for your Nickel plating and Black Oxide demo. lastly, thank you Wayne, and your mother, for hosting the Friday night gathering. Sorry I set off the security alarm.

Gotta end this. I hear the train whistle blowing.

It will be a while before I’m home. Tonight I’m camped at a Flying J near Lincoln. Tomorrow will include a visit to the Museum of American Speed at Speedway. Then heading to the river near Red Wing MN for a few days. Thanks to all who make this event happen. It was a great time and I look forward to next year’s event.

Made it home safely about 11:30pm or so last night. Great time as always with a fantastic group!
Thank you Wayne and family for hosting Friday night. Always enjoy the barn tours.
Thank you Mongo for hosting Saturday. The salvage yard tour is always a must do experience.
Thank you Kevin for the educational plating demonstration.
And finally thank you John and Don for schooling me on calipers and micrometers, and advising me on what additional tools I need for a properly equipped shop. (I'm always learning and enjoy it!)

Already looking forward to the next gathering!

I figured the mileage for the round trip, 2282. (DANG) Still all in all it was worth it. Had Alvin been able able to go I would have been 650 miles more, and a lot quicker if he was driving... grin

Finally made it back home today about noon. My route home included a road trip north through Minnesota and Michigan. Visited my brother on the Keweenaw Peninsula in UP Michigan. Lots of interesting spots along the way. Highlights include Bruce Horkey Wood and Parts, the Scamp factory, Shipwreck museum, Soo locks, Mackinaw bridge, Henry Ford Museum, and a visit with one of our early customers, Corvette Central in Sawyer Michigan. Final stop was the Gran Prix Revival event in Garnett Kansas. All went well with truck and trailer, distance was 4100 miles.

Good to hear Mark! Sounds like a great road trip.

Here's a couple, first camped at Mongo's garage (thank you Mongo) and one taken at the Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota.
