All of the weather stripping is ripped and torn, the windshield crank does not exist, the only thing there is a large nut to which a shoestring holds the windshield closed. I looked in ACP for the stripping and crank and they want the core for the crank, I don't have that, and the only door material is for a pickup, is this ok?

is this 47 3 ton similar to the 41-46 smaller trucks since you mention crank out windsheild or is this a different animal completely? A lot of the smaller truck cab parts are interchangable with the fenders and driveline components being larger or heavier duty. The early 47's were same as 41-46 later 47's were advance design style with chevys.

How do I tell? I know that the 41 - 46 chevy grille is able to interchange with it. It is completely bare bones inside, wipers use 2 buttons inside the cab, no motors, I saw a number on the firewall under the hood and when I entered that it on ACP it told me it was a 53 pick up.....

Ok I think I have the early version, rounded door tops, crank out windshield, rounded front end. You can see pics of her under Pat Valant's 47 listed in the gallery. I posted but it will take a couple of weeks to see it.

I'm not sure with the GMC's of that era but the intieror parts with chevrolet would be the same as smaller trucks. seats headliner doors and panels. Not sure when GMC started using the full pressure engines but it was earlier than chevy clue 60lb pressure gauge. hopefully a GMC Buff will chime in.
