Never hurts to ask this group. But I’m assuming this is an obscure-enough topic that I may not get an answer….
Does anyone have a modern part number, and/or dimensions of the thrust bearing for a standard size king pin set? Speaking of the 47-53 truck here. Better still, anyone have one laying around they could just measure?
Or I suppose I could maybe even cross the original GM part number if anyone has that.
you'll need to be more specific, there's quite a difference between the kingpins on a half ton pickup and a 2 ton dump truck. what size rig do you have?
Attached are pictures with basic measurements of a +10 oversize NOS bearing from a kit I have on hand. Kit was just one of many spare parts (boxes and boxes) that came with my '51 3100 when I got my Grandfathers' truck many years ago.
I did search for a modern number using the original GM# 373476, but could only find a scattered cross reference listing of about 5 manufacturers (and10 different part numbers). None of those show as available through any of the original manufacturers though. Did find an active number that kept popping up in searches through Napa (262-1296) but the on-line listing says "Not Vehicle Specific". Maybe possible to take my part to local Napa and see if they match???
Also noted that your location says Missouri. I am in the SE corner of KC metro area. Give me a shout if interested in meeting up to help wrangle this part need.
Worst case scenario, you can get a complete new king pin kit from one the many vendors that carry them.
Let us know if helpful.

OOPS! the thickness is wrong. You would need to shorten the bottom of the spindle 1/8" to use that one, but it might be a good idea to do that since this is a commonly available industrial bearing and the listed load capacity for one bearing is greater that the gross weight of the whole truck. Have you gotten an answer? I have two. I'll look at them when I get back to the shop.
