So I got this '53 6500, 2 ton. I got it dirt cheap and some people here are helping me with the drivetrain, but now I noticed that the rear end of the frame has been cut off with a torch. It has been reinforced to make it look like it is stock, bumper and all. My question is how long is it supposed to be? If someone could tell me how long the frame rails extend past the rear spring hanger that would be great!!!

Thanks

N.

Hy N. Phillips, each truck frame is different based on its wheelbase, if you can give us the serial number someone here should be able to tell us what length it should be.
