Going to check out a 1949 4400 today in hopes of finding serviceable wheels for my 1950 6400. Pics look like one-piece or locking ring - either of which is acceptable to me. Does any one know tire size for the 4400? They can be found on the 4000 series trucks (the 6000 series had 6-lug) and will have the same 10-lug bolt pattern as your truck, but will have a 5.25" center hole...your truck has a 4.75" hole, so you'd need to make spacer rings to bring the hole back to 4.75". They worked great on the rear of my 46 2 ton, but they had holes for 9/16 studs in them. Just had to drill them out for 1/32" clearance for my 5/8" studs with a hand drill. | | |
