The picture shows the bottom of the plate that bolts to the top of transmission. Those four odd bolts go up and through the plate and have nuts on top to attach the shift lever to that plate. Are the bolt heads supposed to be 1/2 ground off, could they possibly have that much wear, or is it something PO just put in there? It's a '37 truck tranny according to the casting number.
