The clutch pedal in my '55 series II pickup is all wobbly ( side to side) and scrapes the metal floor board. Very annoying. Everything under hood seems tight. Is there a rubber insert for the hole in the floor so it tightens the pedal and stops the scraping?
Take a look at the pedal lever bushing area from under the truck while someone else wiggles the pedal for you. I'll bet your bushings need replacement. The only other possibility is a loose bolt which holds the pedal rod to the pedal lever.

Anyone who thinks its a good idea to spend the time and money with unbridled enthusiasm on this hobby (as we all do), suffers from that particular malfunction.
