Just bought my first truck. Is a 42-46 I think. All I have seen are pictures. I get the truck in a few weeks.
1. Truck has duals - does that make it a 1.5 ton?
2. When I get the truck, where would I locate factory ID/VIN?
Thanks for any help.

It could be both a larger 2 ton or a smaller 1 ton. As for the factory VIN, it should be printed on a piece of metal either on the firewall or on the driver's side door jam. This pannel will also give you the truck's GVW wich will allw you to determine if it is in fact a 1.5 Ton. -Jason | | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 7 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 7 | | | | | | Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 221 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 221 | Donny! Congratulations on your purchase. You'll get lots of enjoyment from it and a ton of help from the 'Stovebolt Page'. Welcome! Here's another spot to look for the VIN. This picture shows it in the lower left corner. http://www.geocities.com/jarge46/235_engine.jpg Cheers, George | | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 7 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 7 | George, thanks!
