It has no connector but a black wire coming directly out of it into a taped wire harness. The only exit from the harness of a black wire is to the oil sensor next to the dip stick. Without scraping insulation off and checking continuity, does anyone know what this capacitor is for? A flasher unit looks a lot like a capacitor and that would be a reasonable place for it. No, it's definitely a capacitor. Same size and shape as in a distributor but without the contact/connection. Also flashers are bigger and have a different look. Doesn't look like an add-on, the wire is in factory wrap. But, that does make sense except for that it appears to be the only black wire going into the wrap and coming out on the oil sensor. Guess I will scrape the insulation off and see if I can find some continuity. Also...either the oil sensor is bad or my oil gauge is bad (autometer add-on) as it does not register. Electric, no tube.
