Well, most everything is loaded up and hope to leave Mid Missouri by 8am tomorrow.
Cookies and other things will be riding shotgun with me for a straight drive thru to Lebanon. Vicki will not be with me.
Stay at the Holiday inn tomorrow and then at the state park in a cabin for three nights.
Alvin, Jerry and I are sharing this cabin.
Talk about a interesting group! I can foresee some late night story telling going on. Then you thro in some of the other story tellers, I just hope I can somewhat keep up.
John from Canada will be there with some heavy stuff for Jerry. We may need some good muscle help to transfer these items.
Jerry says with the heat, he may not hang at the show much and I agree with him and head back to the park about mid afternoon.
Hotdog grill will be going around noon each day at the show. If they don't shut us down?

Don

Our road trip starts tomorrow, we will be heading out about 9:00 with an overnight in Maggie Valley. Breakfast at the Buttered Biscuit with Papa Joe and family, hopefully Alvin and Andy will make it.

Then it's straight up 40 to Lebanon and the cabin at the state park.

Unfortunately our plans have changed. We won’t be at the campground after all. Staying at the Ramada.
Leaving early tomorrow morning early to be at the Buttered Biscuit at 8:00 AM.
Who all are meeting up for breakfast, then convoying to Lebanon?

Made it to Maggie Valley, had rain and thunderstorms from Spartanburg on up. We'll see you all for breakfast in the morning.👍

PS, Andy (593Etow) is going to meet us for breakfast.

Let’s just say it has been a long interesting drive to Lebanon today.
A lot of backed up traffic that suddenly stops. So I spent some time in a ditch to avoid rear ending a semi.
Then later, one trailer tire decided to shed its tread. It’s fun changing out a tire in 90+ degree weather.

Anyway, I’m tucked in at the Holiday inn and will be checking in at the state park cabin tomorrow afternoon.

Yes Ron, nobody was hurt! Other than my pride. The semi took the shoulder and that left only the ditch for me. Other than a few scratches from the small willows that help stop me. No damage to the truck or trailer. Got out to lock in the front hubs but could only get to the drivers side. The rig was able to back up in two wheel drive a few feet, then I locked in the other side, backed up and I drove back up into the line traffic.
Nobody even stopped to help or see if I was ok.
Same thing when I was changing the tire in a hospital parking lot. Nobody ask to help or slow down. Even two cop cars drove by and didn’t ask me anything. Gray haired old man on a 95 degree afternoon, changing a tire on blacktop, should have raised a red flag.
