Single filament sockets are different than twin filament. Single filament have two opposite retaining studs on the sides and twin filament have two offset studs so you match the small filament to the running lights and the larger filament to the brake light circuit. You have to buy the entire socket for the conversion. Here is one that would work and there are others.
