My 51 is evolving into a 54 with turn down door handles it seems.

speed Not really...I have a '55.1 4400 parts truck with a 5-window cab (low-mileage and unmolested, but incredibly rusty), and I've seen quite a few on eBay. 5-window trucks in general are less common in the desert areas due to the extra window space adding to the sunlight coming into the cab and cooking the driver, passenger, dog and anyone else along. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 258 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 258 | My '54 Chevy 3600 stripper is a five-window cab...my '55.1 4400 is a three-window.
Both were built at the (former) Baltimore plant...
From what I recall the majority of the big-bolts I've seen through the years were three-window cabs...
There'd be little point to a five-window cab on a Dump truck or similar body that would obstruct the view over the shoulder...IMHO
