I have a 52 3100 original frame and a rear end from a 2000 4x4 blazer 59 1/2” disc breaks to put in it. The calipers that are original are big and thick. My question is are there calipers that are thinner that would fit to give a little more clearance? I have just measured and eye balled it so may not be a problem just wondering if anyone else ran into this.

When you say the calipers are "too big and thick", what do you mean? Will they not fit inside the wheels you are trying to use? If so, which wheels are you using?

Can you post a picture of the calipers you have? There are a variety of aftermarket calipers available, but most of the ones I am familiar with are larger than the stock S10 ones. Perhaps you have an "upgraded" set already and need to go down to the stock ones? Or you might need some larger wheels.

Sorry I didn’t explain better. It looks like the calipers will be close to the frame rails. The frame is 44 inches wide and the rear end is 51 1/2 from the back of rotor to back of rotor. That leaves 3 3/4 on ether side right ? The frame may be above the calipers enough ? May be over thinking it before I can put them together and see.

I don’t have pics. Right now but will when I get home. I added a photo of calipers.
Hoping someone that has used this set up can let me know if the calipers had been a problem.

Something looks wrong about that, but I can't put my finger on it. What is your measurement between the calipers?

What is your budget for this project? Wilwood $$ and Baer $$$$ have calipers that are less than half the thickness of factory.

I have the Blazer rear with disc brakes on my 52. I'm running an S-10 frame on my though. No issues with the clearance. My calipers are the same ones on your photo.
