Does all the oil go through the filter and then on to lubricate the motor, OR, does only a small part of it go through the filter and then back to the oil pan, with the motor being lubricated with oil directly from the pan. I have been worrying about getting the proper filter for the motor to be sure I don't starve it of oil. If the oil goes from the filter back to the pan, then it's not such a big deal since there would be plenty of oil for the motor. Be sure the restrictor is in place, so the filter doesn't drop the oil pressure, and volume, to the bearings.

There is what I assume must be a restrictor in the line to the filter. It is a fitting with a very small outlet that would not let a lot of oil to the filter at any one time. Thanks again.
