Martin I put on a set of stainless mirrors west coast nice ones,no vibes in em,in hot weather like to hang out there but am limited by bladder range too !! How ever in my area lot of weeds and brush to choose from !!!

coilover Back in that era we used to get the huckster,he would trade for chickens,eggs,other produce. He came in a step van just packed with stuff. We also got the ice cream 55 chevy freezer truck you could here her music from about 2 miles,that ice cream would be co2 frozen about like the north pole !!

In my first 28 years of daily driving, my '48 wouldn't go twice. It was out of gas once and the battery failed the other time.


1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet

34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.

Fixtite7, In my younger years I lived in northern Maryland on a farm and we had a delivery of staples I wish I could remember the company. I think it was based in Chicago. One thing I do remember is their truck ran over my dog, Snowball.
