But after looking it over I figured out it was at one time a 161" WB and had the spring hangers cut off and moved forward, with some ugly cutting and welding.
And I drug an empty trailer back home....

Very interested in it. Me and my bud who's the exec director at the local railroad museum were playing with a 4-53 generator set on an old pullman car during the state fair in october. He drives a 60 1/2 ton daily and said he's rebuilt so many 4-53's that he could do one blind folded and in his sleep. The 4-53 ran great if a bit noisey. What did you give for yours? Actually I would not have bought it if it did not have a turbo.
I then pulled the engine and trans and sold the rest of the truck.

And I have also found the transmission I will run. It's a Fuller Roadranger RTO-6613, that's the newer version of the small 13 speed overdrive.
I will probably only use the top 4 or 5 gears, but the extra low ones, like about 14:1 or so, might be helpfull with a heavy load, or backing up a trailer, or ringing off 1.5" axle shafts and such.
I'll probably go get the trans on the way to or from getting the truck, if not sooner.
Any one have any heavy duty engine mounts that they can recomend for easy swaping to something else, like Mack engine mounts, or something else?
