To all, I have made reservations for the same pavilion we used last year. This years Southeast Truck Nationals event is Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of July. We will have full use of pavilion #7 at Cedars of Lebanon State Park for both days. Please start making your plans, we should have a great event this year and I look forward to seeing all of you.

Well, just finished registering for the show. The webpage is a mess. It took me 1 1/2 hours but finally got it done. Got my campsite reserved at the CoLSP. We are good to go.

At first I strongly considered putting a T5 behind the 235 in my ‘53. But lately I have been considering a 700R4. Langdon makes an adapter for them, but they are pricey. I need to do something soon. The old SM420 is in dire need of a rebuild. The gears are getting worn and the bearings are getting louder. Do you know anyone who has put the 700R4 behind a 235? Just curious how they like it, and what rear end and gear ratio they used.

It seems to be for the time being , but I'm not sure if I could get back into Canada .
I was thinking of having my entry pass mailed to an American address so that someone can use them if I can't make it , but if I do I could meet someone at the gate or somewhere .
They said tickets won't be mailed till about mid May , so I have until at least then to decide and make arrangements !
Don, I just noticed this thread. Count me in, and I'll be glad to share the cabin rental. I've got a battery powered O2 concentrator on order, in case I'm not fully weaned off the supplemental oxygen by then.

OK Jerry, You got the Gig to share the cabin! We will be better prepared this time with coffee and something for breakfast. Vicki and I will be in the Lebanon area Thursday afternoon with something on the trailer? Stay at a local hotel that night? Then check into the show Friday morning and check into the cabin Friday afternoon.
I know it's early but, maybe Craig can start working on a agenda for the weekend? Don

Yep, it's a little early but I have been kicking around a few ideas. I have already been working on some door prizes and thoughts about the cookout. A shirt design is the works too.

It may be early but I am anxious for this outing. It has been a rough winter, for me, and I am ready for warm weather and long cruises. I hope we are meeting for breakfast at the Buttered Biscuit, in Waynesville, again this year! I may be going to the AD truck show in June also. Largely for the swap meet. I am looking for some good used parts. These “made in China” parts just don’t work right.
PaPa Joe, I was thinking about meeting up at the "Buttered Biscuit" again, it seemed like a good rally point to kick off our weekend. I won't be able to make the AD Truck Show but I fully understand about the China parts. We have another large swap meet coming up down here in April, I have been making a list.

TUTS 59 (Craig), The first thing my Grandson Eli asked me was "are we meeting/eating breakfast at the Buttered Biscuit!?" And he wanted to know if Lugnutz (Jay) was going to be there again. LOL! JW, my wife wants to eat at Cooper’s Landing again. So we will be staying in the Cape area that Wednesday night. Then on to Lebanon Thursday. The show Friday and Saturday. The best time is at the state park after the show with BBQ and the official Southern Stovebolt board meeting.

Yes JW, Cooper’s landing is on the Missouri River bank outside of Columbia Mo. I have never been there but it is suppose to be an old hippy hangout campground that would host weekend bands in the summer. But, we are way off topic and need to steer back in our lane.
I have not registered for the show yet, but will next week after the auction this Saturday. You never know, we may have a 48 or a 49 Chevy on the trailer, but the plan right now is to have a beat up 57 GMC one ton in the show. Read about the auction in the Stovebolt Spotting threads.

I've not been paying attention, but I just noticed the camp ground is 40 miles from the oldest boys house. Since I've been threatening to drive the '51 to his place for a couple years, we may try to work it all in this year.
Any words of advise for a first timer?
Added in edit; just paid my $40 and got an email that is was being processed. Not sure if I made it under the wire or if a "sorry, we're full up" message is going to pop up.
Glad to have you join us Ron. Over the years you have been a great asset to the garage. As for first time advice, this will be the Second Annual Stovebolt Jamboree, so we are all pretty new to this. Just keep checking in here and see how it will evolve.
