The generator battery connections are spade terminals. The booster has the big clamps that you normally connect to a vehicle battery.
The battery booster has a 12V 15A output connector. I don't think that's good enough for a starter motor even on a small engine.
I'm looking for ideas on what to use as an adaptor for clamps to spade terminals or clamps to 10 ga wire. I could put a couple of bolts in a piece of plywood for the clamps and run wire to the battery wires. Looking for ideas for a cleaner solution.
(Yes, I could use the starter rope and forget about the battery. But if you have an electric starter, use it.)
Cut a couple of pieces of 1/2" copper tubing about 3" long, flatten about 1" of one end, and bolt them to a piece of plastic or Teflon around 1/4" thick. Attach the Teflon to the generator housing with a couple of big sheet metal screws. Use the tubing as a connector for the booster clamps and wire the flattened area where the tubing bolts to the plastic to the battery terminals with #8 wire and soldered ring connectors. Jerry

I would think something like a remote battery terminal attached, but wired directly to the starter hot terminal ( which should be bigger than the battery spade connector) with the ground attached to the chassis. Connect your clamps, turn your key. The remote terminal always attached, you could attached jumper cables when you have the generator in the back of a truck, etc. No need to lug around a loose 2x4.
Similar to what we do with the fleet truck Honda's. We wire them directly to the truck batteries.
That GB 70 jump starter works very well for cars with dead batteries. Your challenge will be obtaining a sufficient connection to that battery. I like Mark's idea.

I got the jump starter for Christmas. A couple of years ago, I had a dead battery while at the shopping mall. A stranger showed up with a lithium booster and I was impressed at how well it worked. We bought a new car last year - a hybrid - you can't jump start conventional cars with a hybrid so I started to think about the booster. (interestingly, you can jump start other hybrids).
I'm now thinking about remote battery terminals for my garden tractor.
