I check RockAuto.com. I usually search for the part I want and see if part numbers match for both applications. RockAuto is usually very accurate about parts.

I searched for 230ci, 250ci and 283ci.
Looks like the 230 matches the 250 (Wix).
Looks like the 283 isn’t the same.

I have had mixed results on that. Most of the parts they have listed will fit *some application* of the vehicle, but a lot of the time it is not the stock or normal configuration.

i was talking about the housing dry paper. The one I have will work on the 250. It clears the valve cover. I think it is a little bigger than the 250 one
