I have a 1946 Chevy 1/2 ton that came without a bottom bench seat. I have a chance to pick up a real nice mid 60s C-10 bench. Can I convert the bottom to fit the 46?

Anything is possible. These 41-46/7 cabs are much tighter than the later cabs. eBay lists original seats and I’m sure if you posted a Wanted ad here someone can set you up with the correct 41-46 seat

Nice. Did you use 5" foam? Just lay out a pattern from the bottom and go from there? I like it.

I started with 5", found it too thick. Went with 4". Made the 3/4" base panel, made the foam slightly larger to soften the plywood edges.
