Wow, YES SIR that's a great project! But, what kind of warranty and just how many MPG can you expect out of a 500 plus HP 261? smile I know, just kidding, pretty sweet. Proves the old saw, speed cost money, how fast can you afford to go?

'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

1. obtain base engine
2. discard almost all components
3. pile on $1,000 bills to 2" thickness
4. happy!

I know folks are doing big numbers with old iron more and more now days, I think it's just the challenge. True an LS swap would be cheaper but where's the fun in that? It just takes $$$$... Honestly I was waiting for mick53 to join in I sure he knows most of these builders.
