This is the link to my photo album of my "new" '63 c60. It shows the rust in the doors and rockers which I don't think are too bad, which is also the worst part of the truck. the floor is solid.

That is about as nice as they get. My CA truck actually has a little rust through at the bottom front of the doors. It must be a weak spot once the drain holes get filled with dirt and leaves.

Nice truck, but watch out. You need to have some kind of a block on that bed when your sticking your head in there, you don't want it coming down on you. those things have been know to blow seals & hoses which makes then drop vary fast, we don't want to loss any of our truck friends this way.

Most of these will have a metal bar that swings down to brace against the frame, some have a stop bar that is not connected to the truck, those get lost, so if you don't have one, use a 4x4 of good quaity, a 2x4 will snap quickly adding to a problem.

Hi Ron,

Congratulations on your 1963 C60…looks great grin grin grin . Loved the pics and keep them coming whenever you do anything to your truck. You’d be surprised how just a picture alone can help when you’re looking for something in these threads. Plus, it's just cool surfing around and seeing what everyone else is working on.

What do you plan on doing with her? Fix it up and some new paint or a full blown tear down and rebuild from the ground up?? Keep us posted wink wink

And I couldn’t agree more with Jolly…please be safe when working under a raised bed. A couple 4x4s wedged under the bed or a bed locking rod as Jolly mentioned will help prevent you for getting in a serious or even fatal accident.

I guess you got your Christmas present early this year smile smile smile

Take care and stay in touch...
