Does anyone know what the rated GVW was of a '53 GMC W450-30 (Tandem rear axles)?

Thanks

I've got a spec. sheet, on a DW450-37, & it's 26000lb. GVW, & 38000lb. GCW.

The GVW should be stamped on the doorjamb plate...
44,000 is normal with 9.00x20 tires..tire size will dictate what you can license for..

Is this the one that was for sale in Spokane? I think I concluded that one was 26,000 or maybe 29,000. It was the number that Washington says requires a CDL unless it has juice brakes and is not operated commercially.

It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...

Yup. Turns out it's GVW is 26,000 and GCW = 38,000, right off the ID plate. Washington requires a CDL for single trucks 26,001 and above, or trailers 10,001 and above if the GCW is 26,001 or above. So this truck would not need a CDL. I suppose the GMC 470 series would need one. It's a W454-30, so the wheelbase is 179". I will be calling the guy tomorrow for more details on condition, etc.
