My question is this, my rod is a circular rod, and nothing more. What keeps the visor from just flopping down when not in use? Am i missing something that should go on the rod to hold the visor? Other visor rods i've seen have a one inch or so long rectangular metal piece that runs along the length of the rod, which would hold the visor in place, when fit over the top of it. I have a 50 and 60 chevy on the farm and am also wondering if those sun visor brackets and all would work in a 2nd series truck as well ? Thanks for the help. | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 888 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 888 | I have a 49 3100. My visor stays in place due to the size of the slot that fits onto the rod. Friction keeps it in place. Works so far but it's not a high use item for me..

Look at Jim Carters sun visor section. Also his help guy 2to4 afternoons might help you,he helped me on a vacuum booster!! | | | | Joined: May 2017 Posts: 100 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2017 Posts: 100 | Inside of visor is spring metal ,when pushed on rod it locks tight. But visor will work just fine.
