I am a bit confused as to how this cardboard glove box attaches in this 1950 Chevy 3100. I bought the attachment screws but the holes are bigger then they are. Is there suppose to be a clip that slides over to provide the threads?
It appears you may be missing the metal inserts for the screws. Or maybe you got an earlier glovebox liner that attaches differently. Jim Carter Lists a 47-49 liner and the notes say "Uses an inside metal band to secure it to opening in dash." Here's photos of my original '51 glove box and replacement. Note that the replacement indicates '50-'53.

I got it from Jim Carter. Their PN CB1305 Listed as Late '49-53.
