What firing position would the engine be in to make removal of the oil pan easier? I realize that I will have to jack the engine off of the mounts, I seem to remember reading somewhere if the engine was firing on a certain cylinder it would be easier to remove the oil pan. Any thoughts?
Thank You.

The front of the pan is the shallowest, so that is where you would need extra clearance. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,094 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,094 |

When you drop the pan down a ways you can see the CW. Turn the engine enough so the CW is up. George They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
