I have the 4 link ready to go and will be installing it with the rear at ride height and at half travel with the lower bar parallel to the ground. As I set up the coil overs, should I also have the shocks at half travel? This makes sense in my mind, but wanted to ask someone with more knowledge than I have. The way I view it is that, this way, when overextending, the shock will have scope to move out. Correct?
Also, what is your view on installation angle? Vertical or angled? I would prefer to mount these vertically (space), but am open to suggestion.

I had a great discussion with HRL (Jerry) and a few others on proper shock mounts and angle. As it turns out 45 to 90 degrees is optimal for installation and travel.
I haven't installed a 4 link as yet although it's in the plans for a friends F**d truck later this year. Good luck.
