Hey all

Im working on a chevy 4400 rig and have a question about a carpet/floor rubber kit. I went to order a new floor rubber molded floor kit(same as a carpet kit) but rubber from brothers truck parts. The order person said it would not fit and would be to small because all the parts they sell are for standard 55 chevy and not the 1 ton plus. Anybody know if that is true or is the cab size about the same. If not the same size where could i get a new floor kit

Thanks

Shortmagnum

Front sheet metal/hood may be different but cab should be the same as far as flooring would be concerned. John

The only cab that would be different would be the COE. And even that might use the same floor mat. The difference is in the door opening.

Welcome to the Stovebolt forums, Shortmagnum. You should go to the Welcome Centre and tell us a bit about yourself and your truck.

Welcome to the Stovebolt wave

As a general rule it's always nice to tell us if you're working on a first or second series 1955 truck with each question...

Thanks guys. First time ive ever posted on any forum. I bought this 55 chevy 4400 as a retirement project. Its a series 2. Ive been slowly poking along with this but have had some serious health stuff pop up so it went to a back burner. Trying to clean it up for the kids(my health stuff was definitely the word you dont want to hear) im trying to put some nice fun easy cruising time on it. I want to clean up the interior but leave the old school patina on the outside. Thank you for your replies. Ill get better at this as i run into questions. Thank you all

EVERYTHING inside your cab is the same as the 3100 pickup (dash, seat, 4-speed floor covering, windows, etc.). The only different sheet metal will be the fenders, upper and lower grill panels and the grill bar. The cab, doors, inner fenders, hood, core support and hood latch panels are all the same as the pickup.

Make sure they have it in stock! I ordered a floor mat for my 1969 C60 from them and it took months and months to get, off the top of my head I think it was 6 months.
