I’ve had a couple of these trucks and I’ve never seen a leaf spring like this. Can someone tell me what they are for and what trucks came with them. Thanks

It's an add-on helper (overload) spring. Don't think it was made by GM.

This was the one sold by Chevy. Found on page 434 of the 1929-1954 Chevrolet Master Parts and Accessories Catalog. Listed below, 7.503, Spring Assembly, Rear section, 47-54, Util, 6 leaves (Aux Springs) Part 604934.

The best part is it sold for $12.95!

Atomic 52 That is an overload,have some a little different Fred T is right not GM J.C. Whitney or others as Martin says.
