Has anyone had experience with these adapters?
Want to keep 216 but go to open driveline.
Pros/cons?

That's for a passenger car bell housing. A 1948-up 216 or 235 truck bell housing has the right bolt pattern for a T-5 without using an adapter.

An adapter like that makes the job a little easier but with some simple modifications you don't need it. These mods are covered in past posts & can be brought up with a search.

Since the lower bolt holes of a truck transmission are threaded, you'll need to use bolts and nuts there when installing the 5 speed. Some people use an aluminum spacer between the T-5 and the bell housing to avoid having to shorten the pilot bearing snout and lengthen the clutch splines on the input shaft. A fine spline clutch disc is also required unless you swap to a Jeep input shaft that has the same splines as a stovebolt clutch.
